Her current diagnosis from the vet is some sort of degenerative joint problem in all 4 of her limbs. She is such a high speed dog and has been all her life. Along with jumping 5 bar gates and throwing herself up and down bale stacks, the final result is an intermittent lameness and broken down joints.
She currently also has muscle spasm through her lumbar spine region and is twisting her pelvis as she walks. Unfortunately for Jinny, she is also super sensitive and won't sit still long enough for a full treatment! I wish I could explain to her that sitting still for a little longer would really help her.
You would think that after being my guinea pig throughout all my training and practice that she would have got used to the treatment by now, but she hasn't! Over all these years, I've not met someone as hypersensitive and hyperactive as Jinny. Thankfully though, her extreme response to treatment has taught me lots of tricks and tips so that I can still treat the bits of her that really need it before she runs out of patience.
No matter how challenging the case, I will always work to get a successful treatment! Fingers
